Updated list of NCHSAA boys soccer single-season goal leaders

No other boys soccer player in N.C. High School Athletic Association history has more goals in a single season than Michael Richardson, except Michael Richardson.

The Surry Central and eventual UNC-Greensboro player is Nos. 1 and 2 in the NCHSAA all-time list.

Below, we have listed every season with 60 or more goals in a single season. Richardson is on there twice, as is Wallace-Rose Hill star Maynor Espinoza, who was our player of the decade for the 2010s.

In 2024, two new names cracked the top five as seniors, and both scored in state championship losses — Henry Garcia of Hobbton and Cam Letterlough of Asheboro.
