(3) Southeast Alamance downs (30) Trask to win its first home playoff game
HAW RIVER, N.C. — A year ago, Southeast Alamance won its first playoff game in its first season. This year, it hosted its first game, and won that too.
The Stallions sure make playoff football look easy.
On Friday, Southeast Alamance blew by visiting Trask in the first round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 2A football playoffs by a 56-21 score.
The undefeated Stallions (11-0) led 28-14 at halftime thanks to four passing touchdowns from Landon Dodson, who found Bubba Sims twice and Logan Luang-Sy and Drew Easter once each.
Trask (6-5) got first-half touchdowns on a Jaiden Young 13-yard run and 60-yard run by Asher Eason. Eason added a 59-yarder in the fourth quarter.
D.J. Callis got his first touchdown, then another one to seal the deal. Southeast Alamance had four rushing scores in the second half: Callis ran in two, Marquis Burnette scored one, and Ryan Dodson ran for another.
Southeast Alamance will host 19th-seeded Kinston in the second round next week.
