Marvin Ridge repeats as NC’s No. 1 boys cross country team in final 2024 HSOT rankings

For the second straight year, Marvin Ridge ends the season as the No. 1 team in the HighSchoolOT boys cross country rankings. The Mavericks are the first repeat at No. 1 in the rankings’ five-year history.

The Mavericks were N.C. High School Athletic Association 4A state champions, placing its top five runners in the top 26 to win comfortably. HSOT uses championship times across all classifications and associations and combines them into one big state meet to calculate the final rankings, in which Marvin Ridge would have placed its top five in the overall top 60.
