The Carolina Panthers have traded wide receiver Diontae Johnson to the Baltimore Ravens, according to several media reports.
The Panthers are receiving a fifth-round pick from the Ravens. The Ravens will also receive a sixth-round pick in the deal.
Johnson leads the Panthers in receptions (30), targets (58), receiving yards (357) and receiving touchdowns (3).
The Panthers (1-7), having lost five consecutive games, decided to trade Johnson before the NFL trade deadline at 4 p.m. ET Tuesday, Nov. 5.
In March, the Panthers acquired Johnson in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Panthers sent the Steelers cornerback Donte Jackson and the 178th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Steelers used the pick on Iowa defensive lineman Logan Lee.
Johnson returns to the AFC North, where he played for the Steelers from 2019-2023. The Ravens are scheduled to play the Steelers on Nov. 17 and Dec. 21.
