The N.C. High School Athletic Association has released the official playoff brackets for girls dual-team tennis.

Girls dual-team tennis playoffs begin on Monday with matches at the higher seed.

The bracketing process began on Monday morning as the NCHSAA released the final RPI rankings and conference finishes for each school.

All automatic qualifiers were determined first, which is based on the conference finish of each team. Once the automatic qualifiers are reviewed, the NCHSAA determines the at-large qualifiers based on RPI ranking.

When each of the brackets are full, the NCHSAA then seeds the brackets based on RPI rankings. Preliminary brackets were then posted, which gave schools a chance to review for any errors.

First round games are scheduled for Oct. 21, winners will advance to the second round on Oct. 23. The third round will be held on Oct. 28, the fourth round on Oct. 30, and regionals are scheduled for Nov. 5. Each of the first five rounds are played at the higher seed.

Dual team girls tennis state championships will be played on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Burlington Tennis Center.
