Getafe vs Alaves Prediction & Betting Tips | 28/09/2024 | Football

Our prediction for this Primera Division match:

Getafe

Getafe

Alaves

Alaves

Estadio Coliseum will host Saturday’s La Liga game between Getafe and Deportivo Alaves. Los Azulones have yet to record a win in the new Primera Division campaign, but their performance in a 1-0 loss to Barcelona was anything but poor. Both Nabil Aberdin and Alvaro Rodriguez remain in the recovery room, but there are no fresh injury worries in the home team. Uruguay midfielder Mauro Arambarri should be recalled to the starting XI.

The Basques, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 3-2 loss to Real Madrid. As Alaves are not regarded as good travellers, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. Defender Nahuel Tenaglia should be the only absentee in the away team, while Kike Garcia is widely expected to return to the starting eleven after scoring as a substitute in the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu clash.

Highlighted Player (Djené):

Djené

A central defender who can equally be deployed as a right-back, Djene Dakonam has emerged as one of the most influential Getafe players in the 2017/18 season. His road to prominence was a long one, however, and Djene had to bide his time in order to be recognized for quality he undoubtedly possesses. Dapaong-born Togolese international, Djene Dakonam made his first football steps as a youth member of Etoile Filante.

Spells in Benin and Cameroon with Tonnerre d’Abomey and Coton Sport, respectively, saw Djene Dakonam grab attention of Alcoron, who moved in to bring him to Spain in 2014. During two years in Spain Djene Dakonam made 59 league appearances before moving to Sint-Truidense. It was in Belgium that Djene Dakonam proved his defensive versatility and Getafe came calling the very next year, in 2017.

Djene proved to be an instant hit with the Azulones and is hoping a move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs will not be too far away for him. The likes of Arsenal and Tottenham have been sniffing around him during the summer transfer window in 2018 but were ultimately scared off by his £31 million release clause.

Highlighted Team (Alaves):

Alaves

Alaves is a Spanish football club located in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Alava. The club were founded in 1921 and they play their home games at Estadio Mendizorrotza. The capacity of the stadium is 19,840 and it has to be noted that it is the third oldest stadium in Spanish football. After spending several years in the Spanish Segunda Division, los Babazorros returned to the top flight in 2016.

The color of Alaves’ home kit is blue and white and the club’s local rivals are fellow Basque sides Real Sociedad, Athletic Club, Osasuna and Eibar. Alaves made it to the UEFA CUP final in 2001, but they were beaten by Liverpool 5-4 in a thrilling football clash. Anyhow, that is still regarded as the club’s biggest success. Los Babazorros booked their place in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals on four occasions and they have yet to win the Primera Division trophy.
