Our prediction for this Europa League match:

AZ

AZ

Elfsborg

Elfsborg

AZ Alkmaar will be aiming to extend their winning run to four games when they take on Elfsborg in their Europa League opener. AZ have been scoring goals for fun in the Eredivisie of late and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play in Thursday’s clash. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be Ibrahim Sadiq, who has been scoring goals for fun of late, while the likes of Mees de Wit, Bruno Martins Indi, and Sam Westerveld should miss out with injuries.

Elfsborg, on the other hand, head into the Europa League game following a goalless draw with Hammarby in the Allsvenskan. Di Gule, though, will have a much bigger fish to fry against AZ Alkmaar, who are a real force to be reckoned with at home. The two teams meet for the first time in the competition. Both Oscar Johansson and Markus Karlsson are injured for the away team.
