Our prediction for this Championship match:

Leeds United

Leeds United

Portsmouth

Portsmouth

Leeds United will be aiming to make a flying start to the new Championship campaign when they host Portsmouth to their Elland Road on Saturday afternoon. The Whites did well to beat Valencia in their last warm-up game and they are seen as hot favourites to win the season opener as well. Centre-back Joe Rodon has signed a permanent deal with Leeds United, with right-back Jayden Bogle joining the club from Sheffield United as well.

Pacey winger Crysencio Summerville is no longer part of the team. The Pompey, on the other hand, return to the Championship following a 12-year-absence. As the lack of experienced could prove to be a big problem for Portsmouth in Saturday’s clash, we are tempted to bet on the promotion hopefuls. A man to watch in the away team will be Colby Bishop, who scored 21 goals in the League One last season.
